Refurbishment Work on Pavillion

Veteran first team slow left arm spinner and local builder Dave Smale has been busy in March working on refurbishing the club's pavillion.

Dave, fellow left arm slowy and building professional Paul Shepherd and club stalwart Brian Champion, have been working closely together on enclosing the existing veranda which will mean that players and spectators alike will be able to enjoy watching cricket from the same vantage point as before but from now on without the cool sea wind ruffling their hair!

Made from toughened, reinforced shatterproof glass, and generously carpeted by S & G Carpets of Torrington, the new enclosed seating area is sure to be a popular addition for the coastal club's players and supporters, as well as visiting teams who will also be using the new facility.

Club Chairman Martin Barratt said, "Dave, Paul, and Brian have done a brilliant job improving our existing facilities. It's going to make a huge difference to players and supporters watching the games and we can't thank them enough for their time and effort. There is a real buzz around the club, looking forward to the new season, and a project like this just enhances the enjoyment for everyone."

There's a Club Day on Sunday April 3rd from 10am - all players and new players welcome to come down to the ground to help get it ready for the new season which starts wit a home game on April 10th. The Club's outdoor nets start on Tuesday April 5th - again all players old and new welcome.
