Under 15’s Match Report ~ Dave Smale, Manager Friday 21st May we played Barnstaple in our first league match. B & P batted first and scored 125-7 with goodish bowling from everyone; fielding was good with everyone showing great commitment.
We then batted and our first four batsmen were blown away by a good bowling attack before Matty Shep and Josh Johnson put together a partnership which bodes well for future games, we were finally bowled out for 75.
Stuart and I were impressed with the commitment, but understand we have work to do, but as the guys are mostly 14 years old we have two seasons to get it right and seeing as everyone is so keen I am sure we will make a good team.
