Best Cricketing Moment(s): My Best Cricketing Moment probably has to be Playing in the Devon League A Division(at the time playing for Braunton) Against Bradninch Cricket Club, Set 208 to win in our 50 overs, we lost our first wicket the last ball of the first over, i went out to bat....At the end of 3 overs the side had been reduced to 12-4, With Mark Lathwell and Luke Kerr Back in the hutch within the space of a couple of deliveries, Lathers First ball, luke second or third, both undone with rippers from Quick Bowler Sean Nowak. Shane Tolley and I got our heads down and tried consolidating, Nowak Chucked in a beamer, spearing towards Shanes throat, he managed to get his bat up in the nick of time, i think the bat was considerable concussed after that, took a nasty chunk out of it. That was Nowaks Third Beamer of the innings, he had bowled one at Cresswell(opener) and one at Kerr previously, the Umpires conferred and to our relief Nowaks spell came to a premature end, i think he had only bowled 5 or 6 overs, but it was firery stuff.
Shane Departed with the score on about 90odd, and we lost another wicket shortly after making it around 110-8, it was looking like i was going to be stranded on about 70............Then out came Angus Murray, not renoun for his batting, had bowled well when Bradninch batted, we still had about 20 overs to go, between 4 and 5 an over, only problem was, 2 wickets left.
I told Angus to just give me the stike at every available opportunity, and thats exactly what he did, we chipped away at the total, whittling it down, i reached a 100 for the first time in my Devon League Career, but the job was not finished, still needing somewhere in the realms of 30 or 40 more runs in the last 7 or 8 overs we could sense that if we batted properly and not panic we would snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.
1 over to go, 7 needed, I hit a two of the first ball, then missed the next two, dont ask how, but three balls to go 5 needed, i smashed the ball and started running i thought it was going for 4 only to see a Bradninch hand dive and stop it. That Brought Murray in the line of fire, 4 off 2.........we conferred just to take up some time and calm ourselves......as the bowler was running in i was praying Murray would hit it for at least a single........*BOOM* he connected well, one bounce 4!! We couldnt believe it, it looked impossible, Bowser 120* - Murray 38*............. 208-8

Worst Cricketing Moment(s)/Funny Stories Ive had afew moments which i would like to put down, but im not going to.
One i will put down though is Against Sandford in 2004, Bowling First on the M5 that is Sandford, Chris Luxton was bowling to Batsman Richard Baggs, and exetremely powerful left hander. Chris was swinging the ball miles, sticking the ball on a brilliant length drawing Baggs Forward making him lose his balance, but this one ball he just strayed alittle on to Baggs' pads, and Bang, A beautiful on drive to mid-on where i was fielding, it hit me before i'd really moved, it smashed me in the ball on the side of my foot, instant agony, i spent 6 hours in Exeter hospital, but the worst thing was that we only lost by a handfull of runs, so if i hadnt been hurt i may well have filled in that gap.
