Women’s Soft Ball Tournament at Westward Ho!
HUGE congratulations to our Bideford Ladies Softball Cricket team hosting the first Ladies Softball Cricket Festival at the Ho!
I was a bit worried initially but the sun shone all afternoon and great times were had by all. With fantastic feedback from the other clubs this gives us the motivation to carry on and progress further with our friendly matches and festivals.
THANK YOU to all who attended, bought the lovely BBQ food and cakes, chef for the day was Richard Stone BIG THANKS to him and Sarah Ames cakes and brownies were gorgeous.
Also, thanks to our superb chairman Kevin Fishleigh for the support & photography, Alison Fishleigh in the kitchen serving the teas, John Weeks sorting the bar and Martin Stewart skills I wasn't aware of, namely hanging of bunting! washing up, dishwasher, emptying bins, tidying up the night before and other odd jobs behind the scenes. Also Peter Stevens always around to lend a hand. FABULOUS well done all. The umpires and scorers Maxine Ball and managers Clive Ball (Barnstaple Piltoncc & Jules (Braunton) & Caroline Wilson (Filleigh) for arranging their teams to come along to the Festival.

Thanks also to our amazing team who brought all the extras to enjoy with your burgers: coleslaws, potato salads, the lot. Yum. With great encouragement, team spirit, enthusiasm & smiles galore all afternoon, BCC ladies did us proud, as did our coach Rose Ball who is the greatest most patient coach, always having a laugh and serious if needed. Our confidence is growing every week. THANK YOU
